Half Off Strawberry Fest Kickoff in St. Paul, Oregon

Strawberries are red on the outside and sweet on the inside, much like your grandmother wearing a strawberry costume. Bite into berries you're not related to with today's Groupon: for $12, you get admission for two, two souvenir mugs, and eight beer tickets at the Strawberry Festival's two-day kickoff event, Berries, Brews, & BBQ's, on June 11 and 12 (a $24 total value) at French Prairie Gardens in St. Paul, Oregon, just about 50 minutes from Portland.

French Prairie Gardens celebrates the season’s berry harvest with a two-day, family-friendly festival on scenic St. Paul farmlands. The Berries, Brews, & BBQ's event gives host to a variety of Oregon craft brewers and wineries, as well as a barbecue competition where grill maestros will vie for best tri-tip, pork ribs, strawberry dessert, and sauce mustache. Summer-themed attractions entertain attendees throughout the grounds with hayrides, an obstacle course, a 20-foot hay slide, friendly pettable farm animals, and other outdoor activities.

Guests may also purchase small ($8) or large ($16) buckets to fill with ultra-fresh strawberries plucked directly from French Prairie's fields. For festival-goers who have traded their worldly possessions for a cow filled with magic beans, tickets can stand in for currency and fill souvenir mugs with barley pops (4 tickets each) from Ninkasi, Silver Moon, and Widmer Brothers Breweries or purchase kid-friendly rides on the pig-barrel train (2 tickets each).
